Join us for Roundtable, on Thursday, March 14th at 7:00p! 

Come in person  to meet Scouters from both districts to share ideas and events to help your unit’s program to grow even better than it already is! If you feel your unit needs help, Roundtable is the best place to get that help. If you don’t think your unit needs help, another unit can use YOUR insights!

Peninsula Territory Committee Meeting

Meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of the month In person and  online via Zoom starting at 7 PM.

Territory Program and Committee Members gather to discuss council updates. Then the Individual Program Chairs provide updates, progress, and plans for our Territory. Discuss needs of Scouting within our units and determine how the program of scouting continues. Charter Partners, Committee Members and Unit leaders are encouraged to attend.

Lake Trails Territory Merit Badge Workshops

To register, Scouts should send an email to dthaler1968@gmail.com with their name and troop number. Don’t forget to copy another adult on the email.

The schedule for Merit Badge clinics is subject to change based on counselor availability.  Always check the Terriitory website, or monthly emails from Dave Thaler, to confirm. There are no workshops in the months of Klondike, Camporee, or Summer Camp.

 Merit badge clinics are on the Saturday following Roundtable, which is the second Thursday of each month. See the monthly announcements for the specific day.

Peninsulas Territory Service Area Roundtable

Peninsulas Territory Service Area monthly roundtables are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7pm. 

Open to all scouting members. Informational updates on the scouting program, open topic discussion, peer collaborations, at times awards, and general fun. 
The meetings are hybrid where the in person session will rotate to an area local to our units.
Even number months at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sequim.
Odd number months at Silverdale Lutheran Church in Silverdale.
July and December there is not a meeting.

Nominations are open for the 2024 Lake Trails District Adult appreciation awards

It’s time to let your adult leaders know they are appreciated!

Registered adult leaders can be nominated for –

  • Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, and Venturing Advisor of the Year
  • Cub and Scouts BSA Leader of the Year 
  • Outstanding Committee Member of the Year
  • Compass Award
  • Northern Star Award
  • District Award of Merit

Nominations are open through 22 May 2024.

The Compass Award is open to any adult, registered in Scouting or not. All other awards require the nominee to be a registered Scouter at any level (Unit, District, Council, Area, National, etc.)

Powder Horn is open for registration now! This adventurous weekend is happening Aug 8 – 11, 2024 at Camp Fife. This course is for those 14 and up, will equip youth, adults and scout leaders with the knowledge to safely undertake outdoor adventures, obtain resources for leading outdoor programs and provides exposure to high-adventure activities. This is not a certification course, it’s ideal support for anyone interested in high-adventure programs at the unit level. Summer Camp and more awesome adventures are on the way, make sure your unit is prepared by having registered, trained leaders and older youth. Remember All BSA adult volunteers and all adults staying overnight for a Scouting activity. must be a registered adult in a position or listed as an adult program participant. *Limited exception for Cub Scout overnight programs. Set your sights on registering for a great day of Shooting Sports on April 21st. Now’s the time to sharpen your skills or work on on a merit badge. Choose from a variety of range of experiences will be offered including archery, BB shooting, .22 rifles, shotguns, black powder, and pistols.
